QOD: Have you read any good books lately?
Reading is fundamental (RIF) - any tail-end boomer remembers those Public Broadcasting System (PBS) commercials for the largest children's literacy non-profit that touted how FUN! it is to read. I grew up in a literary family - reading was always something that we did; read books, read the paper, read cereal boxes, read signs, etc.
I'm a big reader - I like to read historical smut for pleasure (The Other Boleyn Girl - Philippa Gregory) interspersed with something for my brain or businesss (The World is Flat - Thomas Friedman). Every person in America should read this book - fabulous!
Right now I'm reading Disney War - (read this overview). Fascinating stuff - an interior view of the top echelons of the company surrounding 'The Happiest Place on Earth." Tell me what you recommend this summer.......
